That's silly. The necessary conclusion of your position is that before one says something intended to be humorous one should first go to the person and ask "if I say so and so will you consider it humorous?" Not about to happen! There are always people who don't get a joke. So your sense of humor and mine aren't 100% consonant. Tough. Live with it.
