It was a bit of a burlesque of Frederick!

It was meaning to say that EVERYBODY (in their own unique
way) is trying to become happy (in your case via maximum
autonomy), but ultimately failing because:

-- each life-sequence of efforts ends in death
-- not much is remembered from life to life, generally
-- you cannot BECOME happy, you can only BE happy, because
happiness is a property of that which lives you
-- the efforts you make to become happy separate you from
your essential being

You mention you feel that real justice does not exist. This puts you somewhat in bed with Adi Da who says:

"The realm of politics is the realm of conventional striving, and it tends to dominate human life with dehumanizing force, unless Wisdom is valued by the people and by those in power. Until the culture of Wisdom produces individual responsibility and general agreement on the ultimate Situation of human existence, all talk of "freedom" and "justice" is nothing more than political gossip"

Namaste!

Jim
