That's not what I said. I regard them as following a certain format that is required for a Palestinian to air dissenting views, which is sotto voce and only after clearly establishing oneself as a team player.

As far as Sharon goes, I'm completely convinced that he, like the Bushies, will overreach and we will all pay a very steep price

Lots of his critics thought so when he took office but so far he has kept the unity government intact and has not overreached. He's a canny politician.

As for CNN, what do you mean, not talking about major incidents? If the incident happened as I described it, don't you think it's indicative of bias? I also happen to feel it fits the overall pattern of reporting, which is anti-Israel, though not as overtly as the BBC or NPR. CNN mostly specializes in the false equivalence, such as "2 Israelis and 2 Palestinians die in gunplay". CNN ran that headline after two Palestinian policemen opened fire with automatic weapons at a bustop in Hadera, killing 2 and wounding 40. They were then killed in turn by Israeli policemen.
