Bond Talk seems to think the stock market is being over cautious.http://www.bondtalk.com/global.cfm?S=marcom&SS=intraday_market_talk#12127

The results of the Treasury's 5-year auction combined with a decline in implied volatility on bond options suggests that bond investors believe the current heightened level of anxiety will eventually dissipate. If bond investors truly believed that the equity market would continue to be subject to volatility related to concerns over corporate governance, they'd be buying Treasuries with greater enthusiasm. With the cover ratio on the 5-year note at its lowest level in at least 15 years, bond investors showed very little enthusiasm. Moreover, if bond investors truly believed the anxieties and the resultant volatility would last, implied volatility on bond options would be higher. Instead, implieds on T-bond futures have actually declined in the past week. An institutional market, the bond market is showing far less concern about the financial climate than the stock market, where retail investors play a far greater role. The equity market's behavior therefore now looks even more wrought with irrational cautiousness than it seemed before. <<<
Plus this tid-bit.
