Here's the scoop from an employee....I have worked at Dell for 3 1/2 years now. The second quarter as I see it (and as most of the high tech investing world knows) is usually the weakest. While it may be off slightly, (and "off" at Dell means 40% growth rather than 50%) the rest of year looks very good for the company. Q3 is historically the strongest quarter of the year (renewed government/education budgets) and eveything under the big top here is firing on all cylinders. The new factory was re-engineered to be as efficient as possible, with JIT inventory control, fewer touches per box, and improved shipping logistics---kinda like the Saturn of Dell. Dell also has plans to construct a new workstation factory in NE Austin that should be up in the next 6 to 9 months. International growth is good too.

I haven't heard anything about the DEC rumor although its very interesting. Dell has about $1 B in reserve but could use stock to finance. Hmmmmm....

So...buy now! Its not going to get any cheaper per share (well maybe after the split at the end of July). The stock has appreciated 190+% since Jan. 1. Hard to argue with that.

P.S. I'm not related to the "big guy"
