I wouldn't attribute that much influence to Puff, though I am thrilled daily to see him physically suffering from the pressure and frustrations of backing positions he doesn't fully believe in (at least tactically) due to being a puppet of the Clinton/Kennedy obstructers, and their unelected propaganda team of Carville/Greenberg/Schrum. Let Puff take the consequences-then reward him with a virtually worthless presidential nomination, just like Bob Dole, and many before him.

The good-but not particularly bright-people of South Dakota gave us Hanoi George McGovern for that very same Senate seat years ago. Then they sat back in a prairie stupor (wonder what they cultivate in the middle of those cornfields?) until 1980-when interested Americans finally went up there and shouted in their ears "This guy's BAD NEWS", and they dutifully tossed him out. I would like to see Puff try for re-election in 2004, but it will never happen. Instead, his presidential campaign will be headed for a massive landslide loss, and he will be slipping toward retirement...
