Oh yeah, that's definitely safe transportation. It just takes one nudge by a speeding tractor trailer or SUV or small sedan(for that matter) to make you an unguided missile that lands on concrete. I have one neighbor whose 23 yr old son was killed that way one Labor Day while the other members of the family were enjoying a cookout. A friend's son has been crippled & in a wheel chair for 10 yrs because of a motorcycle accident. Even with a helmet, it is extremely dangerous on the open highway. It depends on every other driver to be careful.....that is impossible with so many reckless, immature drivers on the road today.
