But even though many of the Aussie miners are hedged, not all are heavily hedged. As the price of gold moves up the profit of that company must follow & with it ever higher taxes. Taxes which might reduce the national deficit or ... which could wash into the value of the currency - if one could depend on any politician to only use the money available in the best possible manner oh well, I'm sure theirs are no better than ours in this respect if even as good.
