Jeff

This downturn has wiped out a lot of the smaller upstarts and a few of the larger ones that stumbled into this business. While there may be some overhang that is fast running out of steam. Time also has a way of obsoleting most of this stuff rather quickly. Virtually all of this Internet equipment will not be in use in 10 years! Of course a lot of the "older" products can migrate out towards the edge of networks but the constant pressure to increase bandwidth and speed will further Cisco's dominant position.

We have had the first few generations of Internet gear roll out with a pause in the action. After this consolidation which is almost over things will start moving pretty fast but not at the pace we had at the top.

Looks like the economy is turning around nicely now.
