John: CEOs should be made accountable. So is our President, congress, IGs, and auditors. Look at the Government accounting. General fund should compete for borrowing Trust fund money in open market. If Social Security gets market rate for what General Fund borrows from them, we will have a well funded Social Security program. What is the difference between hiding the borrowings from Social Security and saying our deficits are smaller from Enron hiding its debt by creating off the books loans. I am a free market advocate. I certainly don't want to support Govt. largess to corporate , just like I don't support any pork barrel spending. Free markets can flourish only if they are truely free markets and everybody is treated equally.
