CNBS is for cheap (very cheap) entertainment only. The entire buy and hold theory has been completely disproved. Seemingly, the majority of people have full access to the stock market now, and can "spin the wheel" each second just like in Vega$. Plus, record numbers of people now know how to short and use leverage, which further convolutes matters. The stock market will never be the same again. Fundamentals have become less and less a part of the equation since the mid 90s, and now they carry virtually no weight at all. It's all about spin, glamour, and lucky guesses. I've made a lot of bozobucks on the short side this year, especially since last week, but I'm about sick of this crap. I may just take my ball and go home until we see NDX 500 or DOW 3000 or S&P 250 or MSFT below $5. I damn sure wouldn't bet for or against any of those things occurring. ng John
