Chris, the reason is clear, like I said earlier. Any time a bellweather company in particular says that the future is the least bit cloudy or the visibility is not crystal, everybody freaks. It overrides everything else that is said. While that was a negative, the overall report was more positive. That's WALL STREET! Remember a couple years ago when even high PE's and bad earnings or news didn't really matter? That was overreaction the other way.

People don't know the meaning of doing a Ben Franklin anaylsis. And most big traders want it that way. They want volatility because they have means to do most of the controlling and be positioned to make the most money, often at the expense of the little guy.
