I doubt very much people are converting to Islam, but rather the level of curoisty has risen to an all time historic high. And that does not mean people are converting.
Regretfully and as is the case, Americans tend to respect novelties such as human rights, freedom of expression, liberty and justice and the fundamental principal of "a person is innocent until proven guilty". These are the concepts that the Islamic world has absolutely no understanding of, or the willingness to understand!
Because of all such civilized notions (e.g. freedom of expression, religion, political affiliation, human rights, etc.), people here in the U.S easily accept the peace and love B.S that is put up by the so called Islamic leaders in this country, and because of the media trying very hard to be politically correct, the truth is not easily brought up about Islam!
However, once people start learning about Islam and really dive into what Quran and the other Islamic teachings (such as the book of Hadith) say, no one in his/her right mind would accept Islam as anything but a manipulative cult with evil hidden inside it (in my humble opinion of course). |
