this story I heard this morning on the radio said that the Japanese were buying gold ... and euros ... and dollars -- ANYTHING to get out of yen. Whoever came up with the idea of limiting the insurance on their bank accounts was a doofus and a half. If they were trying to deliberately weaken the banks and currency at the same time, they couldn't have done any better. What do they think? That Americans can absorb any more goods than they are now? Weakening their currency doesn't make sense ... why can't they just lay some folks off like we do
