Of course when you put in global demand and market penetration the need will be even higher!

One cannot ignore world demographics however when estimating saturation of computers. Fully one-half of the world's population lives on less the equivalent of $2 a day. Keeping up with the latest and greatest computer is not a priority for the majority of the world's people, nor will it be anytime soon; their priority is simply making it from one day to the next alive. Until Globalization allows for reciprocity with the poorest of the poor, look for a ceiling on PC saturation. Right now Globalization is a One Way street, giving the absolute minimum while expecting enormous output.
