On Friday, March 29th, at 2:45 p.m., Dr. Shklar will present; "Netbeans(TM) Software Support for RDF-Based Web Services." Dr. Shklar will discuss building NetBeans technology-based plug-ins, highlighting available plug-ins that promote the creation of RDF-based applications and Web services. The session will include examples of RDF graphs and application components and live demonstrations of combining these components into sophisticated applications for the Java platform. Dr. Shklar's session will take place at the Twin Peaks, Sheraton Palace.
Also during JavaOne, Information Architects will demonstrate its premier "Personal" Web Services product Jitzu. Jitzu enables users to create personalized web sites and views of information from Web sites; applications; chat, audio/video; applets; images; games; and personal documents. By clicking and dragging individual components onto a Jitzu screen, the user is able to quickly and easily create a unified, real-time view of their selected information. (A recent United States Commerce Department study "A Nation Online" reported more than half of all Americans use the Internet with 2 million new users going on-line each month.)
Jitzu utilizes the RDF-based approach to building Java technology-based applications that enforces component-based approach to application development. (The Resource Description Framework (RDF) is the World Wide Web Consortium's specification for defining machine-understandable metadata.) Jitzu represents the latest architectural advancement providing powerful new mechanisms for quickly modeling, creating, and deploying complex applications that adapt quickly to real-world needs.
