RESEARCH ALERT-J.P. Morgan starts S1 with ``buy''
NEW YORK, Feb 7 (Reuters) - J.P. Morgan on Thursday said it started coverage of software provider S1 Corp. (NasdaqNM:SONE - news) with a ''buy'' rating and a 12-month price target of $22.

``S1 has become a leading provider of diversified financial technology, having grown far beyond its roots in Internet banking software,'' the investment bank said in a research note.

``We think S1's next-generation platform positions the company for sustainable growth of 15-20 percent,'' it said.
