The estimates I've seen put the total chip market attributable computers at about $50-$55 billion, out of a total chip market of about $148 billion (2001, Dataquest estimate). That's a big chunk, but it's not even half of the total. And that's for *all* computers, not just PCs.

There should be a place on the web that has these statistics. fedstats.com is useless. I like to see PC sales history, percentage of market, etc. I vividly remember in 1995 it being 75 percent. Your numbers would be a drastic decrease and very good for the industry.
