An observation, or WTF am I not seeing here

Since it is kind of a slow day, I just skimmed a "CNBC Critique" thread..

A discussion on why CNBC is telecasting and emphasizing the Enron hearings.. I would think ALL market participants would find it newsworthy in hopes of advancing their knowledge of corporate understanding.. But it seems the more conservative SI members do not find it newsworthy and vice-versa.

Since my understanding of the SI conservatives POV of the Enron mess, from their postings anyway, is that it was Clinton's fault based upon Clinton's supposed liaisons with Enron officials when he was in office, I would think they would be overjoyed to watch the grillings in case a "smoking gun" would emerge tying Clinton to the mess..

I don't get it.. Or maybe certain posters don't actually believe what they are posting and are really afraid that the "smoking gun" will be found pointing the other way..

I don't know..
