and shameless in their conflict of interest

I don't think they are shameless in their conflict of interest. I had thought I was pretty clear about that, but perhaps not. I think they are shameless, as I have said many times before hereabouts, about the arrogance of their unilateralist attitude. Mostly that unilateralism has been international. Some of what appears to be that same spirit I have seen in the domestic area, as well, such as their dismissal of the non-religious. Way back before Enron became a household world I said that Cheney was making a tactical mistake is the secrecy about the energy task force composition. It unnecessarily created the appearance of something inappropriate. (I recall clearly that JLA also thought that was a mistake.)

I don't find their tone particularly endearing. I'm not anywhere near suggesting that any of it is illegal, merely not very classy or smart. Not illegal or unethical, just nothing to be smug about.
