In the context of a discussion of conflict of interest, which is how we started, I am sure you can forgive my mistake. I am not as keen on consensus as you are. Consensus as a guiding aim can too easily sacrifice truth to the need to find a formulation that is agreeable. I also doubt that it is anyone's job to persuade those who are likely to be relentlessly "con", and not all differences are splittable. So, I do not mind at all the idea of coming in with views and trying to gain support. I thought that is what one was supposed to do in politics.
