It is that growth that is the best hope for the conditions that your posts depict. Without growth, we are no better than the birds you mention fighting over an inadequate food supply. I don't follow your logic here. We have had growth throughout the world(both developed and developing nations) for the past three decades, yet the gap is wider than ever in terms of wealth distribution between rich and poor. Growth alone is not the answer....not even close. Brian
