Listening to Congressional Enron hearings today on TV ... Congress is the only government body I know that holds proceedings where judgment is pronounced first, then the witnesses testify. Alice through the Looking Glass. Or worse, Taliban justice. No wonder nearly everyone refuses to testify. The whole damn*ed thing is just choreographed by members to give their local news stations around the country a sound byte of their Congressperson wagging a finger and preaching at executives who've lost before the opening round.
