Neocon , there is a huge pool of young people working or volunteering for these advocacy organizations, who are more than willing to lend themselves to campaigning without pay, especially in get- out- the- vote efforts. That sort of thing...... So, soft money is needed to crush the idealism out of our children. I agree, normal citizens should not take their responsibilities so seriously. Once they've made a few million then they can become full citizens able to help purchase the election of the correct politicians. How dare those kids get involved in the election process or the direction of our nation! Next thing you know, ordinary people will start taking an interest and pay more attention to the actions of their elected representivies and demand representation. How un-American?
