Is capitalism gonna be screwed when the bottom falls out of economies worldwide due to loss of confidence in capital/equity markets?

If the dow and naz return to their historical averages, most 401k equity plans are going to be virtually wiped out. Most people won't be able to retire unless they intend on living off social security..

I think in about 5 years we might have a revolution of sorts- sending the US towards a far more socialist economy- like much of europe..
