Robert Byrd speaks so proudly about his stupid "Byrd" rule today. He actually feels that he is responsible by myself in saving the country "millions and millions" of dollars. (Someone please tell the old fart that he could have used "billions"..)

This is not the case; far from it. As a nobody from a poor state, he does not carry any weight. The real reason why he gets re-elected so often is that all the smart people have left his state, doing better elsewhere. As one can see, he is the only one doing well from where he "supposed" to represent.

Term limits should apply to congress. As old farts like Byrd should be sent to places like Taiwan, where they actually fight with each other in parliament, when they disagree. But of course, you will never see people like Byrd fight for their beliefs. Gutless wonders like Byrd, can only speak loudly.
