Sig,
Amen
"cash is King"
I am now a waitress in a doughnut shop.......which is not all bad...new skills and I get to eat.

Seriously, we were all so spoiled. One must work a whole lot harder to gain even a little in this market. Most of my Broker chums don't have a job and still families to support. I personally believe that we are in a "double dip" recession and haven't seen the light .....the little people have just begun to see reality with credit card charge offs, foreclosures, BK's etc.

Recently I read a very timely book called " The Over Spent American" which I would tend to think applies to most of us . It did make me evaluate my life re: "do I need this" so my new home is becoming orgainized. I don't think we really need the three car garages for seldom used toys. The book is very cool as addresses various stages in life and I believe I might be catogized as a "down shifter" which may not be a bad thing. Look at the stuff you have and recycle . I have been amazed at the money I have found with what I considered junk that I took to consignment stores.

After this ramble while I still trade, the angst that exists now makes trading not an every day event. It is a good thing to learn to step away when things are not wotking well. Sometimes retrospective but back to reality a little distance is a good thing and folks do tend to eat those doughnuts!

Maybe we should be exploring, consignment stores , rental stores, real estate, dollar generals, big lots, places hwere folks will always shop. Anybody have any opinions here??

Love to all
Maria Muldair
