Isn't the National Bank primarily Quebec based. This may be a plausible reason why it hasn't kept pace with the other chartered banks. It may also make it unattractive as a takeover target, especially for the Bank of Montreal, who've really distanced themselves from the city where they started. All this is MHO of course.(BTW, Expos still Rule)

Overall, all these banks have been amazing, they just keep on ticking....up, up up. Ride's not over yet, Bank of Canada may reverse their last rate hike if the economy/exchange rate continue to strengthen, especially since the US Fed may hold steady for a few months yet. I've lifted most of my Call hedges in the last couple days, TSE at 7000 may come sooner than later.
