It's a very exciting time!
I have physical. I have paper Gold. I am ready!
I have been an object of ridicule for the last four years.
The most friendly line was that I could retire if POG would ever go up. Even my broker was mute. He once told one of my friends that he had not seen such a GAMBLER and he would not advise following me.
Just two months ago, a retired gentleman asked at a party, quite seriously, when everybody was busy laughing at my never dying habit of loading up on GOLD in all forms, why I was buying it.
I looked at him quite surprised. He should have remembered the eighties and replied:
'BECAUSE IT IS THE ULTIMATE ASSET.'
It was the end of the conversation. I did not want to get into explaining why, what, who and when.
I have been quite pessimistic about US economy for over three years. When the Fed organized the LCTM bailout, I realized that there no limits to the games that were played with financial assets, and my little hobby of collecting all forms of gold became a self-defence exercise.
I stayed away from the tech manias and watched the circus from a distance.
I really feel sorry for all those that have been and will be hurt financially by this deflated bubble called the US economy. But what can you do? Nobody I know owns any gold!
Not even 1,2,3,4,5% of their assets!
I will donate some of my profits to charities, if I am myself still standing when it's over. |
