Tony: Hard to tell if SONS is a good investment or not.... My sentiments exactly. I hold a long position in SON, which I established after it got hammered in the October earnings shortfall debacle. But I do consider it something of a speculative gamble. That being said I've also got to say given their recent news, ie. Solomon Brothers upgrade to a buy, China Networks deploying SONS products in 6 cities this year with aggressive expansion into other cities over the next year, Mexican carrier Alestra (a joint venture between A.T.T. and certain Mexican financial institutions) choosing SONS as one of its providers, and lastly completion of Telecordia's OSMINE process, one could be forgiven for thinking their prospects are bright.
