I could not document it. I could make a search in awhile... That's ok, if you want to search for your own benefit, go for it. Let me try to summarize what you've said so far.... You're opposed to campaign finance reform on a Constitutional issue; though the Supreme Court has ruled that soft money limits would be Constitutional. You do know that Hastert has made some claims about advantages that the Democrats would have, but you take them on faith that they are true and/or in some fashion unfair. You've also said that Hastert's primary interest in this manner is "winning" and you seem to agree that he hasn't really said much [if anything] about any Constitutional issue on this legislation as of late. You support Hastert, in the effort to defeat the bill, though you don't know the specific language of the bill. Did I capture that correctly? jttmab
