IMO, the "odds" at this point, on the available facts at hand, DO favor trust in the Administration.

I was watching John Dean on CNN opining that the behavior of the WH quacks just like a cover-up. It would be nice to be able to trust. It's only natural, though, to wonder why anyone in his right mind would consciously go about emulating a cover-up. Why? Yes, they've done some other ham-handed things but they seem to recover pretty well. They must know how it looks.

Dean was suggesting that they might have violated the Federal Advisory Committee Act. That's hardly worth covering up, IMO. Administrations routinely ignore it whenever they can get away with it.

Dean also mentioned that Vice Presidents don't have executive privilege, just Presidents, FWIW.
