George,

I want to extend my gratitude and thank you very much for your contribution to the Space Program. The Saturn rocket enabled Apollo 11 to go the moon.

I was in my grandparents' home with my parents when we all saw Neil Armstrong's first step. I was 15 years old.

NASA's budget suffered after President Kennedy's challenge was met. It was disappointing, but I was optimistic about the SSC. I did not work on the project, but the SSC shutdown was heartbreaking. What might have been the one of the greatest scientific events of the century was tossed in the trash.

I once wrote Bush 41, to challenge Americans to put a man on Mars by 2010. NASA's current schedule is 2020. I will be 66 years old then. A time span of 51 years from the Moon to Mars is too long and off schedule. Space has obvious advantages.....

Semper Fidelis,
Josh Wright

PS, I love my wife dearly and our daughter went to Space Camp in Huntsville Alabama shortly after 911. She loved it!
