I think it is more probable that SUN will adopt Hammer than that Apple will adopt Hammer. SUN actually preannounced at one time that they would be porting Solaris to x86-64. Of course, I have not read anything since regarding this port, so it may have been just a bunch of hot air adding insult to injury with regards to SUN pulling out of supporting Itanium. But it was announced.

More likely, SUN will upgrade their Linux offerings to Hammer. It would make much more sense for SUN to upgrade existing IA32 systems to Hammer than for Apple to switch from PowerPC to Hammer.
