I remember when the first few test shots of negative publicity came out about Tyco TheStreet.Com made an announcement about how Tyco's bond prices had "diverged" from their stock prices. Immediately after that it seemed that the rest of the media piled on with suggestive stories until the stock price finally fell.

Evidently this is a widely watched metric for short sellers which would be of value to anybody concerned with the fundamental health of a company. Could you explain a bit more about it?
