Dale, Hammer and Linux are a match made in heaven. Sun may realize this. Hammer/Linux servers from Sun would sweep across Europe like the plague. I wouldn't doubt if Sun were working on an 8-way Hammer chipset. As far as Apple is concerned, they don't have to replace PPC with Hammer in one step. Just like what Sun is doing. Pravin.
