As I said earlier, I think that the main reason that the bond market can sometimes lead the stock market in situations like this is that it is easier to trade on insider information in the bond market. The laws are fuzzier, and it is more difficult for the SEC to track trades.

On that note, the TYC 6½s of '06 have rallied to around 96 today from 92 on Wednesday.
