Sure, but it would have been much more expensive than Celeron. After all, the total system costs would be significantly lower due to the integrated graphics and memory controller.

On the topic of Banias, is it (publicly) known whether it will feature integrated graphics and memory like Timna?

I hope Intel wasn't so intimidated by the Timna Rambus failure that they won't integrate the memory controller again. The benefit in both performance and total system cost make it a very important step, IMHO. Even if you cannot quite keep up with the latest memory speed grades (which isn't done in the mobile and value markets anyway), the performance improvement from the lowered latency should negate that.

And, of course, it would be a nuisance to do integrated graphics with an off-die memory controller ;-)
