. Dishonesty is a drag on the performance of a capitalist system. There is no relationship. If you want to see real dishonesty just look at any other economic system. What?!?! Have you ever heard of Enron? Or a more classic example is the Ford Pinto textbook case of the 1970's. Even though Ford managers knew there were gross deficiencies in the design of the car, they yet sold it anyway, because their "logic" was that profits would overcome any losses tied to litigation from the design flaw. They itemized everything right down to the coffin expenses. They put Profit over human life-simple. How about ADM attempting(and succeeding so far) in patenting seeds and forcing money out of poor farmers in India, seeds which have been used for generations but have been genetically tweaked by ADM so that a profit may be reaped and a people may be raped. The sad part is that this happens on a regular basis at many comapnies, yet the outcome is not as glaring as it was at Ford. And yet people like yourself will not criticize the system; that is a phenomenon I will never understand. Brian
