Dr. Huber and his friends already owned Dorsal-the major investor in Dorsal was/is Optical Capital Group, whose major owner is guess who? So by selling Dorsal to Corvis, he allows the Corvis shareholders (of which he is only one) to share in his previous mistake in financing the thing to begin with (and avoids the embarrassment being experienced by previous wunderkind like Wu Fu Chen and Raj Singh as their recent enterprises like Optimight and Inara go under).

And insiders are prohibitted from selling during the quiet period in the run-up to the earnings announcement, so the lack of reported recent insider filings should be expected (they may be cynical, but they aren't stupid).
