That's a little off topic, since we were talking about whether Intel controls the type of configurations that OEMs build with Intel CPUs. Extended rebates may increase demand for their chips, but I doubt it would be enough to prove what we've been arguing.

Also, in my opinion, suggesting the *possibility* that Intel is giving their chips away for free is borderline FUD, Albert. That is, unless, you have more evidence than just wild speculation.
