For that I prefer the Norse myths they are extremely entertaining followed closely in entertainment value by the Greek/Roman myths which I also enjoy the Egyptian myths and American Indian myths also hold my interest far more intensely than the Bible I'm sorry to say I find the bible deficient both as the basis for a religion and as a very good myth. Parts of it are interesting, to be sure, but it lacks a lot of the resonance the older myths have. Tricksters, for example, do not abound in the bible- Loki, Coyote, and Anansi (sp?) are some of my favorite mythic characters I LOVE a good trickster
