If you see a QCOM shelf at 34.50 in 1996, your chart hasn't adjusted for all the splits. The split adjusted price in 1999 and earlier is 8 or less. No way that there is a major shelf in the 30's in 1996. There is a descending line of support that yesterday's activity hit. In fact, it is a descending channel and the upper line of resistance is presently at around 43.5. However, the channel is descending and it is certainly better to trade a descending channel on the short side. I am much interested in QCOM but will wait for it to base.
