There are a couple of things which I have already discussed on this thread, specifically about the perceived opportunities in China and India. Two places which have a lot of focus from QCOM investors. Since I have discussed that already, I will skip that particular topic.

The other is a more basic business concept. That is that Service Providers need to get a return on investment for their infrastructure. Service Providers don't want to forklift upgrade their infrastructure every 3 years, or 5 years or whenever, before they have had a few good years pure economic profit after the equipment has paid for itself. That means that if you have someone installing a mobile wireless network that is GSM or GPRS or anything else that is sub 3G or not CDMA, they are not going to be anxious to change that network until they have made some money from it.
