I'm not really comfortable as an AMD shareholder - are you?

I'm no longer a (current) AMD stockholder (for a few months now- in more than 4 years). Of course, the tremendous opportunity still awaits in the future, with the PC being the only viable way to connect to the internet for the forseeable future. Hence I'm still interested in getting in at an opportune moment.

I think the stock has played itself out re. Athlon. The new game will be SOI and Hammer, where we could see the next wave of AMD advance against Intel.

In the first wave, AMD went from <10% share to ~20% share. What will the next wave bring?

P.S. I just read a report that # of internet subscribers in India are projected to grow from ~7.7million to >50 million by 2005. Then there is China. Consumers in these countries are too smart to buy anything but proven technologies (also known as PC's) to connect to the internet. Forget set top boxes or thin clients or web enabled PDA's or cell phones.
