Of course we could say that, but that really would miss the point. We exist in a co-created reality. This is a necessary premise to avoid the philosophical trap of solipsism.

In common usage the term "subjective" means existing only in the mind or in the experience of an individual. A good example of this is a headache. If you tell me you have a headache I may empathize with your discomfort, but only you truly experience the headache. The same is true for all experience. If we attend a concert we may both hear the same song but our experience of it will likely differ. However the fact that the song was played and heard by all who attended will be something upon which we all agree. In this sense the song being played is an objective fact. If a friend of ours fell asleep during the concert and therefore has no recollection of that song being played that doesn't change the shared recollection of the remaining attendees.

Mathematics is another area of objectivity, as it is purely tautological and not subject to "interpretation". Software is yet another area. Some years ago I characterized software as "objective thought" and I still believe that captures something of the essence of software.

In short, the concept of objectivity is simply too useful to lightly abandon. It's like saying the Sun rises and sets. It's a useful description of that which is commonly observed.
