I did not want to comment on that writer, but since you reposted it again, i beg to have a little criticism, anyone that can say with a straight face that Juniper wrote off $50 B in goodwill last year (How many more companies will write off billions as Juniper did last year to the tune of $50 billion?), does not get my confidence, JNPR, never wrote off such a huge amount since its inception. He'd better check his data, and if the quality of the rest of his data are as good as that one, that piece whole piece should be viewed critically. I also doubt this part of his statement: 20% of the market value is in technology and another 20% is in financial services. 86% is in just a few large cap stocks. How many of these large companies use fast and loose accounting to over-state earnings and increase their book values?., this even if "few" is 10. The ten largest cap in the NDX are not more than about 50% of that index, and these include at least two (maybe even three) of the ten largest cap US companies.
