France caused VietNam to be a problem for the US, it was one of the worst examples of French Foreign Policy. They forced Ho Chi Minh to align himself with the Communists when they refused to allow him the independant state that the Allies promised him for his support in overthrowing Japan.

Maybe Algeria... NO
Their Africa policies...NO
Their South American policies...NO

I guess they better stick to making Cheese and shut up about anything foreign. As for the small contribution America is making in foreign policy, I would like to point out that those doing the numbers fail to consider the Foreign Policy statement our Defense Department makes. How much did the French have to pay to assure they still get oil when Kuwait was taken over? How much did they pay in the Balkans? How much did they pay against the war on terror? How much did they pay to save Somali's when that region was war torn? America pays more than its fair share, more than anyone else. We carry the world's burden, we get crap from idiots like the French, Len, and Tom.
