Good try! I am his Mom! Specifically, parenting is important! I have wonderful parents and siblings, so my role models, have been the best.
My Grandparent's influenced me greatly, as I was the first born on both sides of my family. My Mother's family were/are strong Christians. That is a wonderful heritage!
The generations that preceded me, wrote about praying for all the generations to follow. That is my Maternal Grandmother's side of the family. My Great, Great, Great Aunt wrote me poems from the time I was born and each one gives the credit for life to Jesus. I will have to share one with the thread. She was a wonderful woman. So, my role models have been the best.
My Paternal Grandfather believed. He came from a Family that believed. I am not sure how he missed out on teaching and growing in that family. He was a Vice President of Sara Lee, when he retired, so he was successful, by the world's standard's, but his priorities were not on God, and he was not as interested in God as my Mother's Family. He was very positive, and I cannot remember him ever having a negative attitude. Both my Grandfather's were sales executives and really, I credit them with much of who I am. The difference, is that one was an incredible Christian, and a Man that had more friends than I have ever seen. He impacted lives, and he was amazing. My other Grandfather, was more interested in personal gain.
My own Father now, has become interested, in his Bible, in his Faith. He was a Counselor at Billy Graham's camp, before he met my Mother and before College, but was not growing for years. Now he is growing big time!
My Mother is just an incredible person, with an incredible faith. She is the best!
My little brother is the spitting image, personality-wise, of my Mother's Father and he is an incredible guy, and so committed to God. He is very involved and has a real ministry with a group of guys on a basketball team. I believe he is the Coach, but has brought a number of them, to Christ.
I just wanted to highlight my role models, and so my Son, has a wonderful heritage, in Christ!
