Yes, I agree. Self-selection bias is another problem with this survey (mislabeled a "poll" - there was no polling process involved, no guarantee that each respondent only answered once). Unless the survey respondents are a true random sample of market participants, then it isn't an accurate read on sentiment. Also, the survey did not ask what actions one intended to take, only where the respondent though the S&P 500 would be. Unless a significant portion of market participants decides to take action on their beliefs about future prices, then sentiment does not matter.
